As a blogger/beauty writer, I often enjoy actively participating on other social networks that allow me to explore various brands because it is impossiable to keep up with brands these days. Here recently, I visited Sephora (located in mall) to complete a project exploring/testing the brand Bumble & Bumble.

To my surprise, there was an entire section in the store dedicated to the Bumble & Bumble haircare product line. There were products there for long, short, curly and wavy hair types. The among the products were normal shampoos, thicking shampoo’s, conditioners, moisturizers, deep conditioners, both setting and styling sprays. What I saw so unique about this brand was that, it wasn’t a newbie on the block, this brand created by Michael Gordon was a NewYork based company which began around 1977 and still maintains a very involved social awareness by donating 20% of product sales to breast cancer research.

Lasting Impression …

The self in the store was almost empty and I couldn’t find the product that I wanted to test out sooo,  I decided to blog about my experience. As mention, the packaging was amazing and the products had a natural fresh scent, something I observed while holding the products and reading about there intended use and ingredients. From what I gathered, this brand is cruelty free all natural. All in all, I enjoyed exploring this brand and learning the rich history of it’s existence.  If you have time check out this article I found written on Forbes by: Kristen Philipkoski.

If you love gel nails, here is handy device that I’m sure you will surely enjoy. It is affordable, easy to use and compact so it is easliy transportable.

I tried it out myself and plan to use it again, escially for travel. Check out this video I shared with my Youtube Subscribers.

One of the things I really thought was extremely cool aside from it’s compact size was the plug-in. It can be used from both a wireless connection and vis your phone. I recommend you purchasing your own nail polish as this item does not come with a recommended brand/polish.

The tiny lights on the bottom is what actaully dries your nails. The lamp works in 40 to 60 sec increments. If polished properly, you nails should only take about 1 to 2 coats. In case you decide to add an extra layer (to darken the color) ensure you double your drying time. Screaming at the top of my lungs! … Yassss, Go head on! miss RiRi a.k.a Miss. Robyn Rihanna Fenty. This line is lit, and so many people across social media are loving this so far, I’m so excited for you. The foundation alone is something to be hyped about. It comes in not 10 or 20 but a 40 shade range. The shade range start at 120 for fair skin w/ neutral understones all the way up to 490 (the deepest) for deep skin with cool undertones. As I have researched, the shades are a soft matte finish. If you know anything about makeup, you should know that there has always been an issue with foundation and the lack of colors available.

Almost every social media platform that I’ve come across (to many to count) there has been an out cry for makeup/beauty brands to reconsider their foundation range.  the colors are either way to light (our very fare skin sisters cry), to just not dark enough (our many dark shaded beauties) or, yes or simply the wrong undertones.  Some brands have been slammed for totally excluding darker skin tones and urged to include those shades.

Either way, everyone can agree that makeup brands with a foundation of 4  to 8 colors will undoubltfully be scrutinize. Skin tone are just simply much larger and no one wants to initiate them-slef a Chemist or Sir mix-a-lot.

In my opinion, it’s always been that some would have to mix colors just to get their perfect shade aaaand….. let me tell you my friend, it simply racks up to spending double sometimes triple. So, a $25 or $40 dollar foundation now becomes $50 to $80.00 dollars, that’s literally a pair of shoes or a nice department store handbag. Understand, this is totally unfare to those who really love the formula yet don’t have a shade created within the line.

With this brand taking a bold leap into this 2.5 Billion dollar industry maybe, just maybe the problem is solved… Or at most, it is a leap forward in changing the way brands formulate their products. We see you boo! … hats off hun.

All I can say is that, ” I’m so pround of Rihanna a.k.a RiRi”, the packaging and the products look so amazing.

Since as long as I can remember, I’ve been dealing with rough dry patches on my hands and I’ve often relied on my usual, soap, water and hand creme. I was left with dry peeling skin once the lotion had dried out and no, …  the dishes aren’t to blame this time. November is almost over and I am super excited. This is my most favorite time of the year.  Alas the coming  of a new year.
